Male surgery is not the same as for the female client. The aesthetics in men is very different and one consideration is that we do not want to feminize their look. Men’s eyebrows are typically low slung and generally men do not show a lot of their upper eyelid skin.
In Wayne Newton’s surgery, it is more than the missing moustache that changes his look. His newly elevated brow looks youthful, but the amount of eyelid which shows now is too different from his previous look and emphasizes the difference in the size of his eyes.
Dr. Szachowicz really believes in the value of education before any male has rejuvenation surgery. Even for the famous, a more restrained & conservative approach retains the character of the person far better than a dramatic change.

We are grateful to everyone who allows the sharing of their images before and after treatment. We often get requests to show more images of people of color who undertake the most popular treatments such as Fraxel skin resurfacing.
We are proud to show the before and after images of a 66 year old man with a history of acne when younger. As he matured, the acne became more noticeable.
He wanted a procedure which would improve the texture and quality of his skin without damaging his pigmentation or give him a patchy tone to his skin.
After a series of five Fraxel re:store treatments, his pigment became even a smooth and the deep textural scarring was softened.
Our office is starting our fifth year with Fraxel re:store skin laser resurfacing with good improvement in people of color. Out treatment protocols have been tested over time. Dr. Szachowicz teaches as a consultant for Fraxel on both the re:store and re:pair skin resurfacing lasers.

This 40 year young woman has a deepening cleft between her eyebrows which catches shadow and suggests a frown. Is there a simple answer? Botox is the first answer, possibly followed by a gel filler after two weeks for the ultimate smoothing. The bottom photo was taken 2 weeks after her 30 units of Botox, showing smoothing of the midline frown crease (and some brow elevation, too.)
Why is this even happening? The muscles primarily responsible for the frown lines are the forehead muscles called the corrugators (yes, like the corrugating in cardboard). They sit on either side of the eyebrows, and have a muscle shape similar to your biceps muscle in the upper arm. The corrugator muscles engage with everyday actions like looking at a screen or monitor, or showing concern or intent, or even with the bright light of the sun. In many people, the corrugator muscles have a resting tone which causes the frown lines to bec ome fairly constant.
Botox works to relax the corrugator (frown) muscles and allows the forehead to smooth. This effect takes 5-7 days and lasts 3-4 months. If the furrow between the eyebrows persists even after Botox, we add a gel filler under the skin to plump up the depression. The good news is that when Botox is present to relax the corrugator muscles, the gel filler lasts up to twice as long as there is not muscle action working on the filler.

We are looking for participants for both the Fraxel laser system and the Smartlipo. We have been seeing remarkable results with these procedures for the last 3 years and Dr. Szachowicz is going to share his technique at his national meeting in the fall.
There is a $1000.00 off of the price of the treatment for your participation. Dr. Szachowicz performs the treatments himself at our office. For further information call me or email me. These are results you will see when you look in the mirror!
