Be a Pleasure Buster – And Stay Healthier?

June 3rd, 2009

If you know just how bad for you the stuff is just before you eat it – you’ll eat less of it! Simple. A study from the University of Mississippi by Nitika Garg, Ph.D. reported that people eating comfort foods after a bad day ate 69% less when they checked the calorie count before eating.

Just knowing how unhealthy foods are before you eat it takes from the pleasure of eating them. Even fast food vendors have a restaurant’s nutrition guide – take a quick check before ordering and surprise yourself as to how often this will influence a healthier choice.

Magnesium Gets More Attention

May 30th, 2009

Magnesium is sprouting up all over in nutritional circles as a supplement to watch. Stayed tuned in the future for specific dose recommendations, but on average most people can benefit from some supplementation. Tufts University scientists confirmed a long-felt belief that magnesium might play a role in insulin resistance and reduce the risk of developing type-2 diabetes, which is more common as we age. Nicola McKeown, Ph.D. reported that adults consuming more magnesium were less likely to have insulin resistance.

Supplements don’t make up for poor diets, lack of exercise, and excessive weight gain. But those with a strong family history may consider taking more of this mineral.

We have found that our LIPODISSOLVE treatments are very effective in helping correct the redistribution of fat in the face and on the body as well. LIPODISSOLVE works very well for the newly named phenomena; menopot.

Wrong Time to Stretch

May 9th, 2009

Evidence is building for doing all of your static muscle stretching after you exercise. Scientists in the U.K. found that static stretches (the reach-and-hold variety) decrease the amount of force you’re able to produce for 15 minutes afterward. During your next workout, try stretching after you have completed all your weight training routine & when your muscles and tendons are warm- see if you feel a difference!
